In a Computed Tomography (CT) scan of the thorax, anatomical views of the lungs, heart, and mediastinum can be improved with a noninvasive technique. When a contrast media is used, it becomes intrusive. During the operation, the patient is placed on a motorized table and is kept there for the duration.
